ORP Kormoran with Enamor’s delivery

A newly built minehunter – ORP Kormoran – is now set to be commissioned  on the day of the 99th Polish Navy anniversary. Gdynia’s Enamor has delivered integrated navigation system, cryptographic devices and hydrophone to the new naval ship.

The first from many years, new Navy’s ship, has been handed over to 8th Coastal Defence Flotilla by Remontowa Shipbuilding shipyard, that implemented the project. Enamor has delivered integrated navigation system of Raytheon Anschuetz GmbH, hydrophone produced by Wartsila ELAC Nautik GmbH as well as cryptographic devices to the naval ship.

The main aims of ORP Kormoran are: search, classification and identification of naval mines and destroying them. The ship is going to guide other vessels through mine risk areas and carry mine defence activities.

The mine hunter has been drafted to the service during the 99th anniversary of the formation of the Navy.
