EMDD GPS CLOCK
The EMDD GPS Clock distributed data distribution system is a device used to display the indications of navigation equipment. Data such as time according to UTC and LT standards, current position, or the vessel's course are transmitted to the locations desired by the crew.
The current time is based on a reference signal from a GPS receiver on board the vessel or another clock, including another EMDD GPS Clock system repeater (by using the NMEA0183 serial connection). Thanks to the two-tier master/slave architecture, it is possible to create an onboard time exchange.
Equipping the EMDD GPS Clock with a quartz oscillator also allows the device to work autonomously in the absence of a GPS signal connection. In the event of an emergency power outage, the device automatically switches to work on internal battery power, which guarantees the device's operation for another thirty minutes.
